No account, no customer database

There is no login. We do not run a customer database, and the site keeps no record of buyers of its own: payment records live in Stripe. Your spreadsheet stays on your device, or wherever you choose to store it, such as Google Drive or OneDrive. We never receive what you type into the sheet.

The free budget sheet

The free budget sheet is a static file. Downloading it does not ask for an email or any other personal details.

Buying the workbook

Checkout runs on Stripe, which processes your card details; we never see your full card number. Through Stripe we can see your email address, name and country if you give them, your Stripe customer, checkout session and payment IDs, the amount paid, and whether a payment was refunded.

After checkout, Stripe sends you to a download page whose address contains your checkout session ID. The download buttons carry the same session ID. Each time the page or a download is opened, our server asks Stripe whether that session is a completed, paid, unrefunded purchase of Deposits Due, and only then sends the files. We do not store the session ID. Anyone who has the full download link can use it, so keep it private.

Cookies and usage counts

The site sets no cookies. Session storage in your browser remembers the first ?src campaign code you arrived with (dd_src), so it can be passed to checkout as Stripe's client reference.

A cookieless beacon counts page views of the home, privacy and terms pages, source codes, checkout-button clicks, completed delivery pages and file downloads. To count unique visits per day, it uses a hash of the date, your connection IP address and your browser's user-agent; the raw IP is not sent to the beacon. It separates test and crawler traffic from real visits. No email addresses or payment details are sent to the beacon. Do not put personal details in source codes.

Service providers and retention

Cloudflare hosts the site and runs the server functions that check payments and deliver files; it processes connection data such as IP addresses to do that. Stripe processes payments and keeps payment records. Both act under their own privacy policies and retention periods and may process data outside your country. Payment records may be retained to meet accounting and tax obligations.

How we use this information

To deliver the files you paid for, to answer support requests, to handle payment issues, and to understand aggregate traffic. We do not sell personal information and do not send marketing email from this site.

Your choices

You can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held through our service providers by emailing [email protected], subject to payment records we must keep. You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
